Arrived in Weyburn on the 29th. Although is was a freezing cold night with a biting wind, thought I would go and take a picture of one of Weyburn's famous landmarks, the water tower. It turned out rather eerie. I am sure that there will be several more taken before my Weyburn visit is done.

Another snow Storm
I have been busy the last couple of days getting ready for my trip to Saskatchewan, so haven't been taking any pictures. Yesterday, we got hit with another bout of snow, so hopefully I will be able to hit the road tomorrow..

Icycles dripping
Managed to catch a couple drips from the icycles that were hanging from a car in my parking lot.
One of the views along the Leduc Multiway. It was a beautiful sunny day after yet another snowfall.

Marbles
The sunrise reflecting on the frozen pond.
While searching on the net for the prices and types of marbles, I came across a photography site using marbles for different effects. I decided to give it a try, finding it to be somewhat of a creative way of taking pictures. My marbles are no longer for sale.

Grocery carts
These pictures were actually taken yesterday, but I didn't want to spoil the beauty of the sunrise with these pictures. Things like this leave me with the question WHY?

Soft pink clouds
We have been having beautiful sunsets, lately. I stopped on my way home to capture a few of the clouds over Telford Lake. I don't think one can ever tire of a beautiful sunset or sunrise. My biggest problem is just picking one photo. Hopefully with experience, I will get better.

On the search for birds
Today, we went out hiking specifically to take pictures of birds, however with the temperature a balmy +12, everyone and his dog ( no pun intended) were out on the trails, thus very little opportunity to take any bird pictures.
A Nuthatch having a snack!

With the warm weather hitting so fast, there were lots of areas with water covering the low spots on the roads. Now this picture says spring. Funny thing when I decided to take this picture, is that the vehicles thought I was photo radar and started hitting the breaks as soon as they saw me.

Abstracts
These pictures were taken last night,(technically after midnight) but I thought I would play around in the post editing section. One of my calendar themes is abstracts and I didn't know what one could do for that theme. This is something that would fit that category. These tracks are of my car.
These are done from inside my car as I watched the snow melt and flow down the window. The street lights are in the background. This would also fit into the Abstract category as well as " A different perspective" I am finding that the more that I take pictures the more that I am open to the possibilities of the view.

Magical night!
Coming home late from the city tonight, I was faced with the challenge of driving through a heavy snow fall. Not one that I enjoy. The snow was falling so hard, and yet there was a peace and tranquility to it all. It was rather late, but I decided that I should get my camera and go out and take a few pics of the beauty surrounding me. This little picture taking episode lasted 2 hours and I didn't get home til 1am. I took over 100 photos and these are just a few. There was something magical about being out at that time of the night, witnessing something so beautiful that the world around me is missing out on.
The streaking on this photo appears as scratches, however it is actually the snow pelting down. I applied an orange filter on post editing on this picture.

There is a special light that streetlights give off that creates such a warm ambience on all that it touches.

My window
Today I was woken by the sun. The reflection on my window was so warm and inviting, I just had to take a few pictures. These were take over approximate one hour.
As the sun came up it softened my image.
A view from a different angle.
The view from my bedroom.
