This is why I like to walk. You get to see so many beautiful miracles of nature. The beginning of a pine cone.

I walked by this every day and finally broke down and took a photo of it. I love how the outer flowers form a circular frame around the smaller flowers

 

1/2 Day @ the Devonian

The first Tuesday of every month is 1/2 price admission. I took advantage to treat myself. They had just opened for the season, so there were few plants actually flowering.

 

             I took advantage of the situation to work a little on some technique shots.
