Calorie Counting

An experiment in Calorie Counting - trying to find out Just what I am eating. I am having a hard time trying to eat the allotted 1200 calories. This is my supper for the day and I'm still short 300. I don't have time to eat so much food. Interesting experiment for sure AND I'm loosing weight..Go figure!

I tried a new technique called black light photography. I need to figure out how to eliminate the lint on the cloth.

Reserva Ecologica Varahicacos

Stormy days are wonderful for creating beautiful contrasts.

 

 

As it was a cloudy day, I opted to go for an ecological self-guided tour. A very interesting geological and flora walk.

 

This is a very small portion of a huge cactus, which was about 50 feet high. I thought the resemblance to the hand with the pointing finger was indeed cool.

 

Falling leaves impale themselves on the thorns of the cactus.

 

Another type of cactus found in this area.

 

The major discovery of the day was this snake.

 

 

Besides this 2000 yr old grave site of one of the local aboriginals.

 

Relaxation Time

Now, isn't this just the Heart of the Matter..

 

 

The coffee is ohh so fantastic

                     This very large tree only gets blossoms on the top end branches,
                                          the rest of the tree is absolutely naked.
                                                          No leaves at all.

                                      As the sun sets the colors come out to play.

Going for the ultimate wave shot, I didn't notice the one coming in behind me and my borrowed camera got wet. Looks like I shall be buying a new one after all, but not for me.

The reason for the attached icon, is that my son sometimes jokes around about being Cletus and I knew he would be watching the game.

Flying Canoe Volant

A French - Canadian - Metis festival celebrating winter and their contribution to the Canadian Community - What an amazing festival - The hardiest were in attendance as the temp was -25 brrrr...There were lots of fires to warm oneself by and hot chocolate.

                                  Enjoying music is a big part of this festival.

Frozen clothes provided a creative edge to the festival. I loved this idea.
