Volley Ball tourney at the Leduc Rec Center

This boy has inspired me to be on the look out for "Faceless" People.
This is how he copes at being at his brothers hockey game.

The fire department were practicing water rescue today at Fred Johns Park.
There was still ice on this body of water...brrrr...

LP - Kitty Kye

The geese are back to the pond across from my home, so there will be lots of photos of them in the next couple of months.

5 members of our Light Painting group were given the opportunity to work with this model - Kitty Kye. It was a great experience for all of us. We were trying different lighting techniques.

Copper Tree - LP with H20 bottles

Glowing with a copper color after a rain.

Trying out some new light painting techniques.

This was created using a hula hoop with Led Lights attached.
The blue color is due to the incandescent setting I had the camera set on.

Using a water bottle wrapped with a colored report cover.
The blue is actually from the label on the bottle.

Using just the water bottle with no cover.

                                  LPB white fiber optic brush.

Light Painting Practice

Using a pop bottle with silver pipe cleaners inside. The blue color is from the bottle label.
This was by no means intended, but this is what I see when I look at it.

Urban Advertising

This store front certainly displays inviting advertising -
You just want to go in and check it out.

                                       I couldn't decide which one I preferred.

52 Week Challenge "Faceless"

I made a black cone around one of my Light Painting Brushes to spread the light out a little to obtain this image.

52 Week Challenge - "Down"

                                        My selection Snow falling "Down"

I took a number of shots and played with the editing tools in Light Room to see which I liked best. Each one could tell a different story, but the main idea was the capture of the snow.

I have to say this one is my favorite. I used it for my Images Challenge.
Theme: Communication

This is my challenge selection, however today, I prefer something else, the now labeled colored one. Lesson - do not rush into picking photos after editing, wait a few days for a different perspective.

The poor pussy willows were looking a little cold and wet today.

The snow was melting fast and dripping off the trees creating these bubbles.

Oddity

Do you ever wonder just what are the circumstances surrounding something you have seen? Sometimes they just scream - take a photo.

and then there are those - Beauty ones

A little less frustrating this evening - It is so addictive!

Trying to get the hang of where to direct the light.

Productive Photography Day ( Including 52 Week Challenge - "Signs")

My first mission was to capture a Spring flower (for Image photo group) - so I set out on my daily walk and came upon this little treasure tucked in amongst the pine trees. At first, I thought it was an old dandelion, but upon further inspection noticed the new growth. So down on my belly I went in order to get this shot. I now make daily visits to see its development.

                                              "Having a bad hair day!"

The Pussy Willows are out - a true sign of Spring!

The Geese are back, so I will be taking advantage of the photo opportunities.

"Signs"
This was the challenge for Week 14. I was going to do Spring, but my humor took over. As I had previously indicated that I hadn't lost all my marbles, I took the opportunity to caption this:

A Clear "SIGN" that my elevator doesn't go all the way to the top. (I live on the 8th floor)

Still full of photo energy, I decided to pull out my new light painting brushes to practice. Lots of practice required. This one is done with a light saber and light painting brushes.

At my frustration point here...so What the heck!

Boardwalk Construction

Construction is well underway for the extension of the Telford Lake boardwalk. It is part of the future plan to have a multiway around the entire lake. The ice is just starting to melt.

With the spring melt, some of the pathways are flooded.
