A Walk at the Leduc Golf Course

I thought it would be a good idea to go for a little walk at the local golf course, before I had to be dodging golf balls. This Buddah statue sits in a flower bed near the entrance of the golf course. He has been the subject in one of my winter sets of photos.

The pussy willows are struggling to come out this year.

A view of the Club house.

Lone Theater Patron

While attending a local theater, I had the weird but cool experience of being the only paton there.

Red Bulls Crashed Ice Event

A view of the North Saskatchewan River from Louise McKinney Park.. Low level bridge in background.

Portion of Crashed Ice Track

A combination of factors caused the blurring in the photos - yes it is the photographer, but also the speed of the athletes, the darkness, the lights, and the fact that I had my point and shoot held high above my head...Oh such excuses!

Church, Forget Sask

Forget is a wee tiny hamlet in Southern Sask. It once was a thriving farm community, but the population as in all farming communities has declined. It was a solemn day that I was here as I was attending a funeral, but I couldn't help but marvel at this old Catholic church and the sense of community it had.

This little park of sorts was located directly across from the church.

Though out this southern region, oil is in abundance. Pumpjacks dotted the landscape.I loved the colors of the pump jacks against the snow and blue sky and how the natural gas flame seemed to tell its own story.

Ft. Mcmurray Sunrise

 A beautiful sunrise awoke me
while staying at my sons place in Ft Mcmurray. Taken from his balcony.
