"The Oil Derrick"

The Oil Derrick is located at Gateway Park at the south entrance to the city of Edmonton. The Oil Derrick is symbolic of the relationship  the Oil industry has on the development of this city.

 

 

I placed the derrick in the center of the picture to attain a filled frame effect.

           Patterns are everywhere and this Derrick is a perfect example of this.

 

I experimented with taking the picture at a different angle and found this one to actually be the most interesting of the shots.
